Biomedical engineering is an expanding field that is vital to the future of healthcare in today’s world. In fact, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics expects the employment of biomedical engineers to grow 23 percent from 2014 to 2024. Additionally, the need to apply advanced technologies to remedy the myriad of complex problems in delivering healthcare to an aging population further amplifies the need for biomedical engineers.
