Computational Biology Center

The Milwaukee Computational Biology Center establishes, nurtures and supports expertise in computational modeling and simulation for applications in drug discovery and development, pharmacokinetics and pharmacogenomics, and personalized medicine. Computational Biology combines data from laboratory experiments, clinical trials and other sources with computational models. Scientists can then use these models to predict the specific actions of medications and their interactions on an individual patient, based on the unique physiology of their body. Working together, physicians and modelers can use the power of computational medicine to tailor treatments so that the most effective therapies are used in every patient.
