The Fan Flow Integrated Research Laboratory executes cutting-edge, multidimensional research in the broad areas of computational and experimental bioengineering. With its emphasis on integrating real-world data and computational models, as well as physiological and disease processes from multiple branches of human biology, the F2IRL executes world-class research while providing dynamic educational opportunities for students at all levels.

F2IRL Research

The Fan Flow Integrated Research Laboratory integrates clinical and experimental data from real world experiments to inform the development of multi-scale, multi-physics subject-specific computational models informing our understanding of vascular and cardiovascular function, brain disease, and pathophysiology of exercise.
