Graduate Students
Aysan Nazari
Aysan is currently seeking her Ph.D. in biomedical engineering with research interests that include cardiovascular regenerative engineering and biomaterials. She joined the CaRE Lab in Fall 2022 after completing a master's degree in Tissue and Medical Engineering from Azad University—Science and Research Branch.
Amanda Thome
Amanda is currently seeking her M.S. in the Marquette-MCW Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering. Her interests include biomaterials and cardiovascular engineering.
Jayne Wolfe
Jayne is currently seeking her Ph.D. in biomedical engineering with a focus on cardiovascular tissue engineering. She comes to the Marquette-MCW Department of Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa, where she received her bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering.
Aleks Zielonka
Aleks is currently seeking her Ph.D. in biomedical engineering with a focus on heart valve tissue engineering. She comes to the Marquette-MCW Department of Biomedical Engineering from Boston University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering in 2019.

William Yuan
William is a medical student interested in bioengineering, biomaterials, fluid flow and device design. He comes to MU-MCW from UC Berkeley, where he received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 2013.
Undergraduate Students
Hailey Johnson
Hailey is an undergraduate student in the Marquette-MCW Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering. Her interests include prosthetics and implantable devices.
