About the Motion Analysis Laboratories
Led by Dr. Gerald Harris, Director of the Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Engineering Center, the Motion Analysis Laboratories are designed to promote and encourage significant advances in clinical research through coordinated endeavors between Marquette University and the Medical College of Wisconsin. These opportunities are afforded to faculty and students at Marquette University and to faculty, fellows, and residents in the departments of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. OREC has also partnered through significant research collaboration with Shriners Hospital for Children—Chicago over the past several decades.
About MAL Research
Major Research Themes at OREC's Motion Analysis Laboratories focus on developing new models and approaches for human motion analysis, human motion analysis in clubfoot and cerebral palsy, pediatric risk assessment, and biomaterial properties of pediatric bone.

Global Mobility
OREC's Motion Analysis Laboratories support significant outreach service activities in human motion analysis with sister laboratories in Cali, Colombia; Manila, Philippines; Chihuahua, Mexico; Mexico City, Mexico; Taoyuan City, Taiwan; and Mumbai, India. Coursework and laboratory experiences in Global Mobility are offered through the OREC motion analysis program.
