Shamudra Dey selected for the BME Outstanding RA Award

Mar 2024: Airway Lab graduate student, Shamudra Dey, has been selected for the Outstanding RA Award from the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering. Nov 2023: Dr. Guilherme Garcia's research was featured in the U.S Food and Drug Administration's website in their Spotlight on CDER Science. Sep 2019:  Dr. Garcia received the MCW Community of Innovators Award for his work applying 3D printing to develop replicas of the human upper airway with a collapsible pharynx.

Otolaryngology Resident David Campbell Wins Award

June 2019: David Campbell M.D., a resident doing research in the Airway Lab, received the Eby Award (best manuscript of the year, 1st place among four residents) during the MCW Department of Otolaryngology Research Day. Congratulations Dave!

 

Organizers of the 2019 World Conference for the SCONA ConferenceDr. Garcia Helps Organize World Congress for SCONA

Jun 2019:   Dr. Garcia was part of a four-member committee that organized the 2019 World Congress for the Society for Computational Fluid Dynamics of the Nose & Airway (SCONA). This one-day conference convened approximately 50 experts in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) applied to nasal physiology and surgical planning.   Learn more about SCONA
