Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin comprise eastern Wisconsin's only academic medical center, including Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee; Community Memorial Hospital, Menomonee Falls; and St. Joseph's Hospital, West Bend. This health network also includes more than 2,000 physicians across 25 primary and specialty clinical locations, representing the collaboration of Wisconsin’s largest multispecialty physician practice with a community-based physician group.

The Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin provides a continuum of care that includes the discovery, diagnosis, treatment and cure of many life-altering health conditions. Located on the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center campus, it features diagnostic laboratories, a Medical Sciences Institute, a Blood Research Institute and organ and tissue donation and matching.
The Zablocki VA Medical Center is located on 125 acres on the western edge of Milwaukee and delivers primary, secondary, and tertiary medical care in 168 acute-care operating beds and providing over 500,000 outpatient visits annually. The nursing home care unit of 113 beds offers geriatric programming and the 356 domiciliary beds are the locus of programs in Substance Abuse Rehabilitation, Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder care.
