Cagatay Dursun, BME doctoral student, was announced as one of three winners of the Marquette University Forward Thinking Poster Session & Colloquy held December 3, 2019. The annual event is sponsored by Marquette University’s Office of Research and Sponsored Programs.
Cagatay’s poster was entitled Gene embeddings of a complex network (GECo) and hypertension disease-gene prediction and was co-authored by Drs. Mary Shimoyama and Serdar Bozdag. Dr. Shimoyama is Cagatay’s research advisor.
The award comes with $1,000 in prize money.
