Dr. Brandon Tefft Elected to Vice-Chair or TERMIS TWIG

The MU-MCW Department of Biomedical Engineering extends its congratulations to Dr. Brandon Tefft, who was elected to serve as Vice Chair of the Cardiovascular/Angiogenesis/Blood Thematic Interest Working Group (TWIG) for the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society (TERMIS).  

The Cardiovascular, angiogenesis, and blood TWIG is responsible for advocating for research and education related to cardiovascular, angiogenesis, and blood within the fields of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.  The TWIG will also host a session at the TERMIS-Americas Conference in Toronto in August 2021, entitled "Biomaterials for Endogenous Cardiovascular Repair."  Other functions of this TWIG include reporting for the TERMIS newsletter, publishing review articles in the journal Tissue Engineering, and reporting yearly to the TERMIS Governing Board.  

Dr. Tefft is excited to represent the department in this important leadership role within TERMIS, the premier international society for research in this field.

Dr. Brandon Tefft currently holds the position of Assistant Professor for the MU-MCW Department of Biomedical Engineering and is the Director and Principal Investigator of the Cardiovascular Regenerative Engineering Laboratory (CaRE Lab) located in the Translations and Biomedical Research Center on the Medical College of Wisconsin Milwaukee campus.
