Held this year in Boston, Massachusetts, the TERMIS-AM 2023 Annual Conference, occurring between April 11 and April 14, 2023, was attended by Marquette-MCW Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering faculty members Dr. Bo Wang and Dr. Brandon Tefft. As Chair of the TERMIS Thematic Interest Working Group (or TWIG) for Cardiovascular/Angiogenesis/Blood, Dr. Tefft also contributed as abstract reviewer and co-chair of a session discussing cardiovascular device design.
TERMIS AM is short for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society Americas. The organization facilitates networking and educational activities for the fields of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine including providing access to resources, supporting young scientists, addressing inequalities in the field, advocating for public policy, and organizing the annual TERMIS-AM Conference, where professionals are invited to network and share opportunities and advancements on a number of related projects.
