- Dr. Jordan Williams has received an $11,500 research grant sponsored by Marquette University for the project, "Development of a near-infrared in vivo imaging pipeline to track virus distribution for motor gene therapy." This project seeks to develop, test, and demonstrate an in vivo imaging system using a near-infrared (NIR) dye to label virus particles such that we can image and track their distribution throughout the body over time. - Dr. Frank Pintar of the Wisconsin Crash Injury Research Engineering Network (CIREN) Center has received a $1.5 million dollar award from the Department of Transporation: National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for the project, "CIREN Pedestrian and Motor Vehicle Occupant Enrollment," in collaboration with Dr. John Humm from the Medical College of Wisconsin. - Dr. Amit Joshi of the Nanomedicine & Image-Guided Interventions Laboratory (NIGIL), and his collaborators, have received a 5-year, $1,784,250 award from the National Institutes of Health for the project, "Leveraging genetic mapping for personalized targeting of breast cancer microenvironment." Additionally, Dr. Joshi has received a shared equipment grant for the purchase of an IVIS Spectrum Imager for the Medical College of Wisconsin, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health. - Dr. Adam Greenberg, principal investigator of the SNAP Lab, and his collaborator have received a 2-year award from the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Institute for the project titled, "Understanding the Real World Effects of Breast Cancer and its Treatment of Cognitive Function: A Longitudinal, Nationally Representative Study." (August 2022)
- Dr. Robert Scheidt of the NeuroMotor Control Laboratory, and his collaborator have received a two-year, $427,772 grant from the National Institutes of Health, Institute of Child Health and Human Development, for the project, "Addressing arm non-use by encouraging idle-time activity during early recovery from stroke." - Dr. Robert Cooper, Principal Investigator of the Ocular and Computer Vision Laboratory, Dr. Adam Greenberg, Principal Investigator of the SNAP Lab, and Dr. Joseph Carroll, Director of the Advanced Ocular Imaging Program at the Medical College of Wisconsin, have received a 4-year grant from the National Institutes of Health—National Eye Institute for the project title, "Retinal Contributions to Vision Loss in Albinism.” (August 2022)
